Gwangjang Market, located westside of Jongno 5ga station, is for daily necessities, clothes, foods and cloth fabrics for traditional costumes. It’s really crowded with local people but fun to explore.!

This restaurant in Gwangjang-market alley has been serving up Bindaetteok (also called nokdujeon or nokdu jijim; literally “mung bean pancake”) is a variety of jeon, a Korean style pancake. It is made of ground mung beans, with green onions, kimchi, or peppers cooked in a frying pan.

A grandma started her own food stall and has been took over by her daughter-in-law, the second owner of the shop for 40 years.

Sundae at this shop contains 9 parts of  beef including large intestines and stomach, and sticky rice, clotted blood and vegetables. It is characterized by making Sundae at home at every day as much as sold on the day.

When Kim Sun-Ja, the first owner of Gabose, her nephew, Jeong Seong-Yeol, took over her business. 

Gabose’s Bibimbap is served with Soybean paste sauce and  14 seasonal vegetables, mainly Lattus,Cinquefoil,Chicory,Water parsley,Bracken,bean sprouts,Seasoned Cucumber,Young radish,Chives,Sliced radish,Eggplant,Zucchini,aga-aga,Outer leaves.
